Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Olea Kotti is a family company at Chrachir Kroussia, Sidi El Héni, in the Sousse region of Tunisia, where its mill stands. Its presentation page puts the business in a line "passed down from father to son for three generations" and dates some of the family's olive groves to 1890. The groves it draws on lie in the Sfax region, at Jebeniana and El Hencha, and in the Sousse region, at Sidi El Héni. The oil is described as coming from olives picked by hand, transported and crushed the same day, cold and without added water, under good manufacturing and good hygiene practices. Three ranges are named on the products page: Dorica, an organic extra virgin oil, together with Marasca and Fresca.
A company profile published by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie du Centre repeats the 1890 date and the three generations, gives Chrachir Kroussia Sidi El Heni as the company's seat, names Mohamed Ali Kotti as its responsable, and sets out its certifications in writing as ISO 9001, Ecocert and FDA — marks the producer's own site shows only as unlabelled logos.
The NYIOOC's Official Guide to the World's Best Olive Oils records five winning entries for Olea Kotti: a Gold in 2021, a Gold and a Silver in 2022, and a Gold and a Silver in 2023, all at medium intensity. The guide describes the organic monovarietal among them as made from hand-picked Tunisian Chemlali olives, cold extracted immediately after harvest. The producer's own medals page totals nine golds and five silvers and names, alongside the 2021 NYIOOC gold, a gold at Oil China 2021, a gold at Berlin GOOA 2021, a gold in London, three medals at the Dubai International Olive Oil Competition — one gold and two silvers — and a silver at CIOOC Canada 2021; its quality page adds a gold at Biol 2021 in Italy and a silver at the EVO International Olive Oil Contest 2021.
