Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Oléa Amiri is the label of Sonia Amiri at Aïn Mastour, in the Oueslatia delegation of Kairouan governorate. The Route Culinaire de Tunisie programme profile gives the address as "Domaine « Oléa Amiri », Ain Mastour, Oueslatia, Kairouan 3100", roughly 60 km from Kairouan, and the producer's own site places the groves "au cœur du Gouvernorat de Kairouan, sur les terres fertiles de la montagne Djbel Oueslat". Kapitalis dates the launch of the brand by Sonia Amiri to 2022 and quotes her that "l'huile d'olive Oueslati est plus qu'une huile, c'est une identité pour mon terroir". The producer names its oil ZIT Elguim, a monovarietal of the Oueslati variety hand-picked in the Jebel Oueslat range, describes it as 100% biologique without naming a certifier, and states polyphenols above 70 ppm and C18:1 above 80 per cent for it.
The variety itself carries an institutional record. The International Olive Council's World Catalogue of Olive Varieties gives Oueslati's origin as the governorate of Kairouan, notes its adoption in the two regions of Kairouan and Siliana, lists "El Alaa", "El Leguim" and "El Horr" among its synonyms, classes it as a secondary variety now sought in many regions of Tunisia for its oil quality, and records oleic acid between 68 and 76 per cent, palmitic acid between 9 and 12 per cent, low vigour, medium productivity, high alternate bearing and an oil of spicy and bitter taste with green almond aroma. Tunisie.co reports Oueslati at about 11 per cent of Kairouan's olive production, grown around Jbel Oueslat across the Oueslatia, El Ala and Haffouz delegations, and names Bahia and Trozza as the two other Kairouan houses working the variety. The United Nations in Tunisia, reporting the 2025 award, puts the oleic acid of the distinguished Oueslati oil at 81.40 per cent and describes it as intensely fruity, moderately bitter and very lightly pungent.
The Route Culinaire de Tunisie profile records ancient oil mills and pressing basins dating to Antiquity on the property, and attributes more than 2,000 years to some of the olive trees standing there. On awards, the United Nations in Tunisia recorded that two Kairouan Oueslati brands, Oléa Amiri and Bahia, each took a gold medal at the third edition of the European International Olive Oil Competition held in Geneva from 22 to 24 April 2025, with the prizes handed over at the Swiss Embassy in Tunis on 20 June 2025; the same release places both producers within the PAMPAT2 and SIPPO programmes, implemented by UNIDO and financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. The producer's own site records a Gold Quality Award for ZIT Elguim at the Pyramids International Olive Oil Competition in 2024, and lists further golds it attributes to a Turkish international olive oil award in 2023 and 2024 and to the CARTAGE competition.
