Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Nicaea Zeytinyağı works at İznik, in Bursa province, on the southern slopes above Lake İznik. Its own about page dates the company to 2017 and sets it on the knowledge of a family it says has farmed olives on İznik ground for generations, and its site footer states the position directly: the story is not one of leaving a city for a rural adventure, but of a family continuing a tradition. The company does not publish the family's surname, the size of its holding, or a tree count. The grove page describes soil analyses tracking pH, lime and organic matter, natural fertilising in place of chemical fertiliser, and biological control against pests, and attributes the fruit's balance to the microclimate the lake creates — even humidity, softened temperature swings, mineral soils and lake mist.
The production account has olives picked by hand from first light, graded by size, taken to the company's own plant without waiting, and cold-pressed the same day with the temperature held below 27 degrees; the target acidity is given as below 0.3 per cent, and pomace is separated for conversion to fuel. The harvest is split three ways on the company's own pages: İlk Hasat, picked green in October; Erken Hasat, picked half-ripe in November; and Olgun Hasat, picked fully ripe from December into January. The company states that each harvest's oils are analysed by TÜBİTAK, though no report is published on its pages.
The awards listed on the company's own awards page are: at Olive Istanbul IOOC 2026, a Platinum Medal with Best of Category, Best of Country and Best of Istanbul, and a Gold Medal among the table olives; at the United States International Olive Oil Competition 2025, a Gold Award with Best in Class in that competition's third edition; at the Scandinavian International Olive Oil Competition 2025 in Stockholm, a Gold Award; at the Miami Olive Oil Competition 2025, a Quality Gold Award; at the Afro-Asian International Olive Oil Competition 2025 in Abu Dhabi, a Gold Award in the quality category; and at Olive Istanbul 2025, a Gold Medal for the İlk Hasat and Erken Hasat oils together with silver and bronze placings. The company keeps three shops at İznik: one fitted to the town's historic fabric, one modern, and one inside the İznik Underwater Basilica archaeological site and museum.
