Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Little Olive Oil is the Albanian half of a London working life. Herman Ermal Pobrati grew up among olive groves in the village of Pobrat, spent 22 years in Britain as a horticulturist and landscape designer — work he credits with RHS Gold awards — and registered Little Olive Oil Ltd in London on 3 September 2024 to bring Albanian oil to the UK. He trades as The EVOO Gardener, holds an olive oil sommelier certification the brand credits to Olive Oil Times in London, and puts five generations of family olive growing behind the varieties he selects.
There is no single estate behind it. Every olive in the November 2025 harvest came from the Berat region of central southern Albania, inland along the Osum River in the wider country around Mount Tomorr, hilly terraced ground worked by small family growers who carry their fruit to local mills — a pattern the brand traces to the early 1990s, when Albanian land was returned to families. Three oils come out of it, cold-extracted by mechanical means alone and never blended across harvests: Kalinjot Pure, a single varietal of the Albanian cultivar, Koroneiki Superior, and Trio Select, from Koroneiki, Frantoio and Leccino. The brand publishes independent laboratory figures for the first two — 402 mg/kg polyphenols at 0.32 per cent acidity for the Kalinjot, 428 mg/kg at 0.29 for the Koroneiki — and a pesticide screen across more than 500 compounds returning none detected, with all three oils bottled in 500 ml fully recycled aluminium.
