Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Lisadurne Hill presses from a farm at Rushworth, Victoria, that the family dates to 1876 and has held for four generations. The olives are recent by comparison: 27,000 trees went in between 2008 and 2009, on ground long known in the family as the Hill Paddock. Seven varieties are grown for oil and two for table fruit, among them Hojiblanca, Angus, Kalamata and Sevillano. Picking is early in the season to keep polyphenols up, done with a trunk shaker the farm calls Betty, and everything is pressed cold, below 28 degrees.
The table fruit produced the clearest result. At the 2025 Australian International Olive Awards the Lisadurne Hill Kalamata scored 92 out of 100 in Class 14 and took a Platinum medal, Best Table Olive of Show in the boutique volume division, Best Table Olive of the Southern Hemisphere and Best Australian Table Olive; the Sevillano took a Bronze in the same competition.
The oils have their own run. Hojiblanca took Gold at the 2025 Australian International Olive Awards on 87 out of 100, after Gold and reserve champion among Spanish varieties there in 2024, and Grand Prestige Gold with Best of Australia at TerraOlivo in Israel in 2023. Rushworth Gold, scored at 91 out of 100 for its 2023 Gold from the same Australian competition, took Grand Prestige Gold at TerraOlivo in 2024. The farm also makes mosto cotto and a barrel-aged balsamic from its own Trebbiano grapes.
