Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Finca La Torre lies at Bobadilla, a few kilometres from Antequera in Málaga province, on land that formed part of Singilia Barba, a Roman city to the north-west of the town. The estate points to what is still visible in the ground: columns, fragments of an old necropolis, and pieces of the torcularium, the press where oil was made here. The name comes from later, from a watchtower raised on the Cerro del Cuchillo in the Nasrid period, still the estate's emblem.
The modern operation dates from 1998, when the property took the name Finca La Reja S.L. and began farming organically and biodynamically. In 2010 management passed to Agrifutur Holding AG, which set about rebuilding the estate around premium extra virgin oil, and the mill was extended in 2014. The oils are built on Hojiblanca, with Arbequina, Cornicabra and Picudo also planted. The mill runs two independent extraction lines rebuilt in 2015, handles up to five tonnes an hour under controlled temperature, and holds oil in fourteen 10,000-litre stainless steel tanks under nitrogen. ONE, made from olives picked in the first days of the season, carries both organic and Demeter biodynamic certification.
The International Olive Council's Mario Solinas award went to the estate three years running, in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16. The Flos Olei guide has scored it 100 out of 100 and kept it in its hall of fame from the 2019-20 edition onward, and Spain's Alimentos de España prize came in 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18 and 2024-25.
