Olive Auction built this page from public records so buyers can find the estate. Its own people can claim it at no cost — complete the story, list lots, answer buyers.
After a claim, we confirm by emailEverything here comes from public sources — award lists, certification registers, the territory inventories. The rest of the story — the family, the grove, the real age of the trees, this year's lab sheet — only the mill can tell, and it is the part buyers bid on.
Coşkun Zeytincilik is in Ayvalık, in Balıkesir province, below the Kaz Dağları. The company's Hikayemiz page records that the family lived on Crete until 1922 and was settled in Ayvalık by the population exchange, that the state allotted it olive groves there, and that it worked them while earning a living in other trades as well. The page states that the groves lie in the parts of Ayvalık that give the district's most select fruit, and that the family never left olive growing whatever else it took up over the years.
Until 2007, the same page states, the family sold in bulk and under no name, known only to buyers in Ayvalık and the country around it. In that year the business was registered under the COŞKUN ZEYTİNCİLİK name, taken from the family elder Coşkun, with the permits and documents that selling under a name required; the page adds that the paperwork and logistics for export were still being put in place. The company's own summary states that it grows in its own groves in Ayvalık and follows every stage itself, from husbandry and harvest through pressing to bottling.
The flagship is an early-harvest oil worked by stone press, taş baskı. Its product page describes olives picked in October while still green, free oleic acidity not above 0.5 per cent, cold pressing held below 27°C, olives brought to the press within four hours of harvest at the latest, and no filtration. Ayvalık olive oil carries a Turkish designation of origin in its own right, entered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office as a menşe adı under number 88 on 11 June 2007 at the application of the Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce; the producer's pages make no claim under it.

Lab numbers, tree references, harvest dates, a photo — the tap-through form asks only for what buyers pay for.
